i decided to leave my dipes out last nite to line dry, very humid in san diego this summer...

well, about 11pm my DH yells, "SKUNK!"

a super cute little skunk was on our patio, cruising around MY DIPES (including my very 1st RB set AND my 1st fuz!!).

THEN my cat crusies over to the glass door, ready to pounce and attack...

he sees the cat, lifts his tail...runs away, lifts again...runs and goes under the deck!

i have my dh hold the cats, i go out and get my dipes...phew!!
i have never been so frantic in my life!

I guess I am justified in feeling nervous about leaving things on the clothesline after dark.

The skunks around here seem pretty placid. I have never had one raise its tail at me or my cats, who ignore skunks. I even chase them away from the cat food I leave out for feral cats.

I'll ramp up my caution around skunks a notch!

That was a close call...you need to have a good talk w/your cats!

Oh no!!! I'm glad they didn't spray your dipes! I don't like leaving my dipes out at night anymore either. Once a cat (not sure who's) peed on on of my Fuz dipes.
