Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a birth doula and/or postpartum care doula in the metrowest area of Massachusetts. I'm expecting towards the endof February. TIA.

Ah man...I was living in Warren for my first birth and had an awesome doula (she was from much further west though). I'll try to figure out who it was. She had a great name though--I just have to remember it.

Where are you birthing at? (Please don't say Baystate.... : )

I remember... Her name was Juniper Talbot.

Here is some info I could pull up on her:

http://www.greenriverdoulas.org/find...#junipertalbot

http://greenriverdoulas.org/findadoula-printable.htm

The first lady on here, Chana...that was the doula I originally hired, but she couldn't make it to the birth so I had Juniper...

Where exactly are you? I serve Williamstown, North Adams, Pittsfield, Cheshire, Cummington, etc. PM if you are anywhere near those areas.

Thanks for the replies!
The metrowest area is pretty close to Boston so the 413 area code location of Amydoula and Juniper probably wouldn't work for them.
But I appreciate the replies!

Joyce Kimball serves the Worcester County area of MA. I don't know if she'd travel that far but I would trust anyone she recommended so it might be worthwhile to call her just for a referral. She's wonderful

You can find her on the DONA website.

I just gave birth in September and had an awesome doula. She is from Framingham and her name is Kim Leuders. Her email is kgab19945 (AT) rcn.com. Obviously you'd need to replace the (AT) with @. I couldn't have had my first drug free child birth without her and if I get preggo again I'll have her helping me during my labor again.

The lady at Birthing Gently was nice, but their fees were too unatainable for me. I also emailed with a very helpful doula in Athol.

Most doulas in Mass are willing to drive an hour or more to their client so don't skip calling one because you think they are too far.

if you have any questions then let me know

If you can get her, Randi Bigelow is terrific!
http://doulanetwork.com/directory/doulas/538.htm

Have a great pregnancy and birth!
