My 37 week visit with MW is this evening and I want to make sure I discuss anything especially important. She and I sometimes have a hard time staying on topic. There are just so many things it seems never make it into our discussions. And that's with an hour for prenatals that always run about 30 min over. I don't know HOW people get anything accomplished at OB visits! I know I'm supposed to write down questions but sometimes I feel funny reading off my list, kwim? But that point aside, what should I make sure to discuss tonight? I've got my list of supplies and her cell #, her food preferences, and so forth.

is this your first child? if so maybe ask about labor signs and when she wants you to call her...i just had a homebirth with early labor that lasted over 24 hrs!! my poor mw was here for a really long time LOL. best of luck-enjoy the exerience it truly is wonderful!

All the talking you are doing IMO is very important even though it doesnt seem to be on topic.<br><br>
The more comfortable you are with your mw and the more she knows you the better she will be able to serve you come birth time and the more comfortable you will be with her. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"><br><br>
As to OB visits you lay your birth in their hands, you have no control compared to your hb where everything is done they way you. So you dont need to spend much time talking to them IMO everything is pretty much decided for you.
