I just found out they're moving to Mequon in October and I'm not due until December. My DH and I decided that using the Birth Place would be a good compromise and I'm having a hard time finding a doc because out of everyone I've called none of them are committing to make the trip to Mequon for deliveries. I was looking into Dr. Koch, Dr. Ward, or Dr. Sinoppoli. Any suggestions?<br><br>

Dr Koch is our family doctor and is also working with my midwife this pg since we are planning a homebirth (she worked with my last MW as well for the last homebirth). She is very open minded in regards to how moms want to birth their babies and has no problem allowing you to get into what positions work for you.<br><br>
We use her for all the kids too instead of a Ped, it has been wonderful. SHe knows our family very well (well....we are a family of 6 <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> and we keep her busy) and is very AP friendly IME.<br><br>
As for Dr Ward ~ we have seen her when Dr Koch was on maternity leave. She was very nice and respectful of parenting choices. As for pg, I have no experience there.<br><br>
Dr. Sinoppoli ~ I have never worked with her, but she is highly recommended as well for moms wanting a natural birth.<br><br>

Dr. Sinopoli is my kid's dr and I see her for myself as well. I haven't had a baby with her, but I really like her. She's a great listener and really takes the time with you, even when she's busy. I usually have both kids with me and she always takes the time to make sure we're all doing well.<br><br>
I was really happy with Dr. Wasserman when I had dd. I'm not sure where he delivers though. I used the Columbia St. Mary's in Milwaukee.

Would they deliver you at the regular St. Mary's hospital? Dr. Koch delivered my ds when we transferred to the hospital (to the Birth Place) after an attempted homebirth. She was great!

Thanks for the advice. I spoke with Dr. Sinoppoli and she has decided that she won't be delivering at the Birth Place once they move.<br><br>
But good news, Dr. Koch called last night and said she'd be willing to deliver there if I'm sure it's what I want. She isn't planning on doing it for everyone but will in certain circumstances.<br><br>
I am going to tour St. Mary's just to see what it's like but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Birth Place because I really want a doula and they make it much cheaper.<br><br>
