Ok, so I tried this in the general parenting forum and got zero responses...maybe this a better place to ask.
DH will turn 39 next week and I'm spinning my wheels when it comes to what the boys (2.5 and 4 years old) can do for dad. In years past (not that there have been THAT many, the oldest is only 4 after all
, I have usually gotten a card, put their handprints in it, and gotten some sort of artsy-craftsy thing that dh could then do together with the boys. Last year I think was floam with plain wood shapes that we all then decorated.
I could have ds1 draw a picture for dh, he would be all over that, but I feel like I need some new inspiration. DS1 is now getting to where he finds birthdays exciting and so there's got to be something fun that I could get them to do together?
Sure, I could just buy something that I think Dh would like (there's a new Stephen King book out, for example), and have that be the "gift" the boys picked out. But that seems so boring to me.
So, Help! What do you do when it comes to your SO and your dc?
