Does anyone have any suggestions for a 6 month old chomper? She only have one razor sharp tooth in there, and she's always been a playful nurser. So now when she plays I get grazed or chomped on by the tooth. My older dd had 1 tooth at a year so nursing manners were easier to teach at that point. Any ideas for the best way to stop her from using me as a chew toy?

What I do is say OW! very loud, and if she does it a second time I end the session. Generally speaking, they won't bite if they're really hungry. I say "generally speaking" because all of mine have had the habit of using me as a handy-dandy teething ring, even if they're quite hungry. I have several times read to draw the child sharply in towards your breast, because that will cause them to break suction, but as for Esther that only makes her clamp down harder!
