Has anyone made a bean cassarole in the crockpot???
I've been doing plenty of stews, potroasts, meatballs etc. All
but I want to branch out a bit.
Today I'm craving a black bean cassarole but I'm going to be out most of the afternoon so I was thinking maybe I could make it in the crockpot.
It really isn't going to need to cook (I'm using canned beans) so it's just a matter of melting the cheese, letting the flavors combine....and having something hot and delicious waiting for us when we get home!!
I was just thinking of layering my cassarole into the crockpot (convenient that the tortillas are round and just the right size
) and setting it on low when I leave.
What I'm wondering is if I need to add a little water or if some crushed tomatoes or salsa would provide enough moisture to prevent it from drying out.
Can anyone give me any tips???
Thanks!!
