I stopped nursing this summer. This is my 3rd cycle since quitting completely (AF came at 6mo pp, but I mean 3rd cycle since after i stopped nursing).

The first one was 31 days long. I stayed completely dry, no fertility symptoms, then had a very light AF.

Second, you can see it in the chart link in my signature (Cycle 08/13/2008). 38 days long, but it was much more "normal" in terms of actuially having cm variations, temp shifts etc.

So now I am oo cycle three. No fertile symptoms so far (and I am on cd 23), but the strange thing that is happening this cycles is that I keep having traces of blood in my cm. not much and not all the time, but definitely there. And I have no clue what to think of it.

I do have some thyroid issues (hypo) and I started working with an acupuncturist this cycle for both thyroid and to help fertility. She does not think that the blood issues are somehow a side effect of the treatments. But what is the problem then? I don't remember this ever happening to me. This issue had been going on basically this entire cycle. Some days I don't seem to have any, others - definitely there. If you look at the chart, don't pay attention to the fact that I only have it marked a couple of time. I've been seeing the blood at least every other day. It's not bright, but it isn't brown. And it is not even like spotting. It really is more like blood-tinged cervical mucus.

What might be causing it? I want to believe that my body is still just trying to regulate itself since I stopped nursing, but it concerns me. What do you think?

Google blood in cervical mucus. It's pretty common.

It could be from implantation. Are you pregnant?

or some inflammation or spotting.

I've been having the issue for the entire cycle, so I don't think it's implantation spotting.

infllammation? that doesn't sound very good. would I be having other symptoms like pain if this was the case?

I would go see my midwife or OB to feel reassured.
