Ok, so I've been on nedrest and dealing with high blood pressure for 3 weeks. Last night it suddenly went up to 150/100 right before bed, but I had gotten up and folded some laundry, took a shower, gave the kids a bath (bad, I know, but nobody else was here to do it!!). I immediately laid back down when I realized this, but it stayed at 140/95 or so. I felt fine though.

When I laid down for bed, I started having lots of braxton hicks- no big deal- but around 1am I realized they were coming every 10 minutes. SO I just figured some cervical changes might be going on and tried to sleep as best I could.

This morning when I woke up, I had some blood tinged mucous! I am soooo excited, because I've been dreading the idea of a hospital induction because of my blood pressure, so I'm wondering if this means I could actually go into labor on my own soon!! I'm feeling slightly achy/crampy this morning but the contractions have stopped. My blood pressure is hovering around 150/95, luckily I have an appt this afternoon with my midwife so we can figure out a game plan!

I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'll probably need a hospital birth, but would be SOOOO much happier if I could go into labor on my own. BTW, I'm only 37 weeks today!!! NEVER thought things would happen this early.
