My dd has a cold and is miserable, esp at night, that she cant blow her nose. I use a syringe, which does work, but would really love to find some way to teach her how to blow her nose. Ive tried showing her how to use her mouth to blow a candle......then trying to use her nose to blow the candle..... but she still cant grasp the physical concept of it.

would love to hear suggestions or ways you taught your toddler to blow their nose!

thanks mamas!

I told my dd to blow air out of her nose. Sometimes she sucks it in instead, and then blows out. I had her put her hand up and try to feel the air coming out and she thought that was pretty funny!

Our toddler loves to blow candles out, or try anyway.
One day I tried explaining "blow the candle out with your nose!" And to my surprise and glee
he tried and out came the snot. (I didn't even have to light a candle, it was just pretend)
So funny the things that give you "glee" when your a mom!
Ever since he is aware of the concept and it gets us through colds so much better!

what a blessing!
Thanks! :) I feel very, very blessed. I was hoping dd would get a sister. Hopefully a life-long friend too.
