Blue cohosh- please tell me about it!

I posted this in birth and beyond and didn't get much response. I thought someone here might know.

I am taking a birth formula similar to the 5w. I just read on another message board that blue cohosh is not safe and can cause hemmoraging, and can actually cause abortion. Yikes!!
I'm been taking it for 3 weeks now. It is actually supposed to prevent hemmoraging and not go past your due date. But the first ingredient is blue cohosh.
After reading that, now I'm really scared. Anyone know about all this?? I assumed that the 5w and other birth formulas were safe.
