It's not really pregnancy related (though maybe a warning for new moms planning on BFing) but I have to share. DS was having a difficult evening wanting to "watch teedee!" and Mommy and Daddy were being mean about not allowing it. So I finally convinced him to sit on the couch and go through a magazine with me. He loves doing that so he can point at and name things he recognizes. It ended up being the Sacred Source catalog since that's what was on the coffee table.

He enjoyed pointing at the different statues (and a toddler saying Krishna is just too cute) and then we came to the Willendorf statue. He and started shouting "Boobies!" and DH was just busting up laughing on the other couch and I was like "Yes, hon, let's go to the next page" and DS was all "Boobies!" and DH was cracking up even more.

I honestly tried switching to "nummies" when DS was 9 or 10 months but by then it was too late. When he started talking it was "boobies". *sigh*

I'm REALLY glad that we always called it "milk," and then switched to "nai" (bastardized word for milk in Chinese). When he was first talking, he was also still signing - he would sign milk and say "nai! nai!" People usually thought he was waving and saying "hi!" Even though he looked pissed because he really wanted to nurse! lol

What cracks me up now is that he negotiates with me, or insists "nai. Two sides. No count 10." (I've had to limit his nursing during pregnancy, and sometimes we do one side and count to 10 or something.)

Toddlers are hilarious. The other day he told me my milk tastes like peanut butter and honey sandwiches!

We made that SAME MISTAKE! And there was no turning back. And I fear that we are locked in for this new baby because Nell will be there to teach the baby that NO they're called BOOBIES! How did that happen??? I don't remember deciding to call them that at all, and had never called them that before having a baby...oops!
