I just finished a really wonderful book called:
Our babies, Our Selves: how biology and culture shape the way we parent
by Meredith Small
got it at the library. It reminds me of Contiuum Concept by Leidlof but with a broader perspective in terms of cultures and studies. it does have quite a bit of evolutionary theory so for those who aren't into that, may not like it.
It was a reminder for me about what babies biologically expect at birth from us as parents and affirms the AP style.

A friend of mine just loaned this book to me and I can't seem to put it down. It's wonderful to be able to compare and contrast different parenting styles in one book. I would definitely recommend it as well.
