I need books to read on how to survive a hospital birth without any additional scalpel cuts, scars, or horror stories. I am in the foulest of foul moods, and I am going to need serious support since I am being force to plan another hospital birth.
This decision was made by my ever so ****ty insurance company and their refusal to list homebirth midwives as prefered providers.
Anywho, any books or websites you can point me to would be nice.
. I like the Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth. I know lots of mamas like Birthing From Within, too.
If you're interested in exploring safer birth options, you might consider checking out the homebirth forum----lots of mamas struggle with the decision to chunk their insurance for the birth they deserve
While the idea of tossing out our insurance for a better birth sounds great to me, I have to think of my son. He sees specialists every month and has lots of hospital procedures. I can't take a chance that I wouldn't be able to see his surgeon b/c of our insurance issues.
while a home birth is very important to me and having a low tech pregnancy and birth is something I'd love, I can't jeopardize the health of my son.
