Are there any favorite recommended books that members of this forum can suggest -- specifically about making the transition to being a blended family, or becoming a step-parent, or helping a step-child adjust to new family dynamics?

Asking for a friend. I would really appreciate any suggestions.

The Wife-in-Law Trap by Ann Crytser is out of print now, but in my opinion well worth the effort to track it down used.

Based on the personal stories of both first and second wives, it is the best practical advice book that I have ever found on how to navigate the very complex relationship that can occur from post-divorce remarriages.

"One Family, Two Family, New Family" by Lisa Cohn -

"Ex- Etiquette For Parents" by Jann Blackstone-Ford and Sharyl Jupe

"Helping Your Children Cope with Divorce - The Sandcastles Way"
by Gary Neuman

All of these books talk about blending and how to go about it in a positive, healthy way.
