I've read not to use washing soda on cloth diapers (we use prefolds and prowraps) but is borax okay? I have been adding it to ds diapers to boost cleaning...is this a big oops or not? TIA!
I just bought some for general cleaning, but I have no idea how to use it, LOL! I thought I read here that we can use it on diapers...But I'm eager to see the responses.

Everything I've read says it's fine to use. I've had zero problems with it.

I also use baking soda. It's a very gentle base to neutralize acids. For example, the hubby uses it to clean up battery acid. Urine is an acid too. And, unlike washing soda that's basically one hair away from being caustic, it's gentle enough that one can put it in their bath to soften skin.

I use it as a water softener since we have hard water. It works great and I have not seen any adverse effects because of it. I put it in the presoak and it really cuts down on smell. It neutralizes the odors. I don't think it's a big oops.
