Well, I was on some wahm site the other day and they recommended using borax regularly. Now I wouldn't go that far.... but it may help. I use it in my household cleaner solution, and occasionally in laundry, it really gets things cleaner. It is rough on fibers. So is bleach. I wouldn't think using either one of them once in a great while is going to do great harm to your diapers. Sorry, I have no technical information.....
