Well dh has been in the field for about 4 days and most of the time he was gone I was sitting on the couch crying thinking about how he is going back to Iraq in a few months. This is his 3rd time there and I am so worried. I mean we just got pregnant and he's about to go back to war.

Well little did I know that he was in the field having nightmares. He told me he was having dreams the whole time he was out there of me in labor and him vommiting.
: LOL. I think it is kind of cute he is worried. But on the other hand I asked how much he weighed when he was born. He was a monster compared to me and the ones I already have. He really might be puking if this baby is anywhere near the same size as him.

Hugs to you..I always worry at the beginning too but after awhile I get used to the idea of being pregnant and stop worrying so much. I totally understand.

I've found that when I worry about childbirth, what helps me most is reading positive birth stories. Since you are concerned about having a larger baby, maybe it would help to read stories of women who have birthed large babies without problems? I bet there are tons of stories with pictures all over the internet that show that you can deliver a large baby and live through it!

In June 2005 I delivered a 10 lb boy with a nuchal hand (his hand came out with his head) at home with no meds and no tearing! It hurt bad, but no worse than my 8.5 lb and 7.5 lb girls.

I am sorry you guys are having anxiety. My Dh recently got out of the service, and I can only imagine how I'd feel if he were to deploy while I was pregnant. Try not to worry too much!

I'm sorry you're going through this- this pregnancy seems to be a very anxious time for you anyhow. Would you consider getting yourself into counselling?
