I'm excited now. I showed my Dh the numbers and all of the info I gathered today on CDing and he, I think, seems all for it. He just couldn't argue witht eh cost savings. LOL.

So I have been searching Ebay for some good deals on Cd's to try some out, just want to buy some used first to see if we like them and what we like we don't have a lot of money to spend on this, and I won an auction.

So I will have my first Cd's soon. I got 2 pair of Prorap color covers for 6.00 +ship. Seems reasonable to me, hopefully I didn't pay too much.

I am excited I can't wait to try this all out.

Now I am looking for some of the other kinds for cheap to try, AIO AI2 and Pockets.

I can't believe I am actually going to cloth diaper, I just never pictured myself as a CD mommy and before thought it would be too much work but it doesn't seem like it will. I've been converted.

That's my thing I haven't gotten anything yet. I was going to look at some stores here to see what the prefolds go for here and I have seen some on Ebay that are approx 35 for 15.00 or there about so I am keeping an eye on those.

What should the prefolds run me really?

If I should go with something other than prefold just suggest it I really have no idea here.

The soakers or whatever they are that I have seen on Ebay, the ones with the rounded edges that are like a feminine pad shape kind of, what type of CD's are those for??

Thanks.

Be sure to pay attention to the shipping when buying prefolds whether new or used. Sometimes a used price may seem cheap, but then they might be charging a huge amount for shipping. New good quality prefolds are $18 a dozen and premiums are $24 a dozen. Some diaper stores have flat rate shipping or free shipping with a minimum purchase, so take that into consideration too. Whatever you do, don't buy the Gerber prefolds you can get at Wal-Mart, Target or BabiesRUs. They're not near as good as what you can get online. Look for Chinese, DSQ, or Indian when buying prefolds. For your older child you'll want premiums, and for your new baby on the way you'll want infants. Good luck!

Oh, and the contoured pad like things are probably doublers. If so, those are meant to be added to a diaper to add extra absorbency, like for nighttime. We never need any here, but some babies are heavier wetters than others and need them.

Thanks for that info. I think I am going to check out my local stores first and see how much they are going for then go to Ebay and see what I can get and other online stores.

The shipping is a big thing I need to watch because I am in Canada so most shipping on Ebay to here is SO HIGH it's crazy which is why i would just rather buy locally.

I am thinking new would be better since they will get used so much and washed so much etc.
