In case you didn't see my response in the coconut milk thread:

I finally got an email from edwardsons (Native Forest brand coconut milk)!

I was wondering if you could email me some information regarding your
canned Native Forest Organic Coconut Milk, specifically, whether or
not you use BPA in the cans. I'm conducting a survey to find out which
canned foods are free of Bisphenol-A.

Thank you,

Sorry for the delayed response. Please be advised the tin plate of the can (body/end) is lined _internally_ with Epoxy Phenolic Aluminised Sulphur Resistant lacquer (double) and _externally _with Clear Epoxy or Gold Epoxy Phenolic. No bisphenal A is used for our cans. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you,

I Googled "Epoxy Phenolic Aluminised Sulphur Resistant lacquer" & couldn't find much aside from chemistry talk that I didn't understand.

I'm afraid to celebrate! Some chem-nerd please tell me this is okay!

Cool, thanks! Sounds like it's aluminum, but isn't the whole can? I'm so not a chemist.

Well, here's a tentative hooray! That's the brand I use. I was getting bummed reading the threads on BPA. I don't use very many canned goods so I'm glad to see some good news on at least one of them.

Son of a..... Could someone link me to the BPA threads? I had no idea it was in cans. We rarely use canned stuff but still.

Our Whole Foods has it, as well as both other natural food stores. It is with the ethnic foods, has a green label.
