Set to launch in August 2007, Vermont Birth Network (vermontbirthnetwork.org) will be Vermont's only independent, comprehensive online source of birth information, education, support, and advocacy. With a focus on promoting mother-friendly birth practices, VBN aims to provide a complete listing of services available for expecting families.

We are seeking provider listings in the following categories:

•Independent childbirth educators

•Pre natal wellness providers
•Yoga
•Massage
•Chiropractic
•Fitness
•Movement
•Acupuncture
•Group and Individual Counseling
•Breastfeeding support
•Other service offered to pregnant women

If you are a provider of any of the above services, or you know any who should be listed on the VBN, please submit the following info to [email protected]:

Provider Name
Type of service
Town(s)/County(ies) where services are provided
Phone number
Contact email address

In addition to extensive pre-natal service listings, the site will feature each month a different mother-friendly provider in the state. It will offer a "Questions to Ask Providers" feature to help women gather the support they need to birth on their own terms, and of course an extensive "Links" section to local and national resources we love. In addition, the site will include a birth blog where we (and guest authors) will reflect on the cultural, political, and emotional aspects of birthing today.

Please submit your free listing to us via e mail at [email protected]. To appear on VBN as we debut this summer please have your listing in by July 30, 2007. We are accepting listings on a rolling basis and can't wait to hear back from YOU!

Thank you,
Laura Peer and Linda Pruitt
