Last night while I was getting ready for bed, I started having some very mild contractions. They went on for a while, I figured I was tired and maybe a bit dehydrated so I drank a bunch of water, and went to bed on my left side. I fell asleep and woke up about 1 1/2 hours later, and they were still there. They felt exactly like B-H to me, except the last time I had them, my uterus was huge! Today now I feel fine, I was reading that some women get them in second/subsequent pregnancies as early as 4 months. I'm 14 weeks today.

No bleeding or discharge or anything else, and I've felt the baby move too. It was just weird feeling that already!

I started getting them at 10 weeks - about average for me. I get really sick of them towards the end but I put my short relatively easy labours down to all that work ahead of time. No idea if that is the case, but it helps get through them!

Cool... maybe that will be my case this time... last time I had a 50 hour induced ordeal... ugh!

not in your ddc, but totally normal. they started around 14-16 weeks for me with this second pregnancy while they didn't start until 20+ weeks with my first pregnancy. your uterus just knows what to do and is practicing.

I'm glad you mentioned this. when I was first preg I cramped majorly for bout a month then nothing till this week, I keep "cramping" again? when I woke today it came and went a few times. I didnt know what to think :/ I didnt have b/h at all last preg and was induced besides so regardless of a second preg I am rather ignorant about some things. I'd had no idea you could have b/h so early (13 weeks)

is "crampy" an accurate description???

mine started 10 weeks last pregnancy and 8 this pregnancy. i'm high risk so i really have to watch mine. if that back pain starts it's time to go to the hospital. first pregnancy went into labor at 28 weeks. hope this doesn't happen to anyone here. but as for being normal, seems normal to me.

Crampy is how I'd describe them... although they feel a little different than the "brand new pregnancy" cramping in the beginning. Mine that I had the other night were quite regular but very mild, I knew what they were because I remember how they felt before. I fell asleep when I was having them.

I am certain it was because I hadn't had enough water, and had taken a walk that evening. I just did too much and was a little dry.
