I've noticed a couple of nights that I was already getting BH contractions, starting at 9 weeks. I think the earliest I got them before was 12 weeks.

I think I might be the most Braxton-Hicks-alicious woman in the world! By week 30 I'll be able to time them.

Just wondering if anyone else gets them early on?

Wow - no, I haven't had any yet. I started getting them right near the end with #1, and around 20ish weeks with #2. I'm expecting to get them earlier this time, but not yet!

Do they drive you nuts, having to deal with them basically the entire pregnancy?

WOW sounds really strange to me I didn't think your uterus would start doing that so early..especially since it is only about the size of an orange ...

Could be what I'm having. I thought it was cramping but when I really sat down and thought about it, its more of a tight, tense feeling. I had BH really early in all my pregnancies (except my m/c) but I don't remember how early (I now realize the reasoning behind pregnancy journals). Don't know, could be, couldn't be. Not comfy at all either way.

Nah. It can get a bit tiresome at the very end, when they're so intense and frequent, but I still kind of dig them. They're as much a part of pregnancy for me as feeling baby kicks. Which I haven't yet...

So, what do they feel like? Do they hurt?
I've only had a couple so far. They feel like a tightening... I don't know how to describe it. Later on it will be a feeling of tightening in my whole belly to my throat, slight breathlessness, and your belly gets rock hard. But no, they don't hurt at all. You might have to pause while it passes if it's really strong, but there shouldn't be any crampiness or pain.

It still contracts, even though it's small. Even a non-pregnant uterus can contract (in the case of orgasm, etc.)

As long as it's not painful, it probably is BH, especially if you get them early. But if there's any pain or cramping you want to be mindful of that. I'm sure you are!
