Ok, so with all my pregnancies, I start BHs early and often; however, this is insane! Saturday, I was nursing (kind of - she was sleeping) my 2 yo when I started having BHs a couple minutes apart. I hadn't had any issues with this before, so I continued. Well, they kept coming, so I decided to stop. Well, that was the beginning of 6-8 BH an hour. Fast forward to last night when they got really strong. So strong, in fact, that they made my crabby. When I woke to pee last night, I was having them. I got woke up by a big one at 8am and then 7 more before I got out of bed. They've been frequent today and very strong. No cervical change.

I'm going by my former MW Saturday and she's going to show my DH some maneuver for sacral release that is supposed to relieve this. I'm also doing 1 minute inversions 3x a day to stretch my ligaments, which are very tight and spasming and are either the cause of this or at least a factor. Oh, and this happens even when I drink 1 gal of water and seems to happen more when I lay down.

Sheesh! Anyone else having this problem or have had this in the past?

Same issues. Right along with tightness. With ds I could do butterfly sitting and lean all the way forward. I'm just so tight and tense. BH so bad I've had to go lay down a few times. Water helps, but not always. I think I need to exercise more to get loosened up.

The technique at spinningbabies.com where someone wraps your belly in a scarf like a hammock and gets behind you and jiggles your belly is working wonders for my BH and ligament pain. In fact, since I started doing this technique(i forgot the name of it, but it starts with a r), I have had minimum ligament pain, which is GREAT.

Ashley, spinning babies has a short video on it here. You can also do one on the stairs and the info is here. I do the first one off my sofa and it works perfectly. It feels soooooo good to stretch my ligaments. My uterus is so tight that I cannot make out any baby parts. It feels like it's in a perpetual contraction. I just started doing these and I have NOT been consistent with 3x a day. I need to get in a schedule with it.

Strongmama, thank you! I've read about rebozo shifting, but I didn't realize it would help with BHs. Come to think of it, it's supposed to help loosen everything. I'll have my DH do it tonight.

My pleasure!

Well, DH did the rebozo sifting and I followed that with my 4th inversion for the day and guess what??? I had no problems with BHs last night and could even roll over and get up to pee without them! Then, I only had 6 in 8 hours! I usually get that in 30 minutes! Wow, praise God! So happy! Thank you, strong mama!
