I need help for my SIL.<br>
The rundown:<br>
20 weeks pregnant<br>
not currently breastfeeding<br>
pain in a specific part of her breast where she had recurring pain during a previous nursing relationship<br><br>
Can she get a plugged duct even though she's not currently breastfeeding?<br>

I am guessing it is not a plugged duct, because she isn't producing milk now like she will once the baby is born. I am guessing it's her breast tissue responding to pregnancy hormones... breast pain is one of those symptoms. If she is worried, I'd ask her to mention something to her health care provider.
