Hi everyone! I have a beautiful baby girl who was born on 11/13. She is 3 weeks old and breastfeeding like a champion. I am a student at SCC and winter classes start on Jan. 3rd. I am taking online classes but my math class requires I come to campus for tests. This means leaving my baby for 2 hours with my husband and no food! I don't want to use formula but I am too broke right now to buy a breast pump (even the cheap ones). I just need to be able to pump for a week or two to get enough supply built up to last for the tests this quarter. Is there any place in Spokane (or near spokane) that I can rent a breast pump or buy one used that is cheap? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Mother's haven does: http://www.mothershavenidaho.com/category.aspx?categoryID=100

Though, depending on your squik factor, you could also go to Other Mother's and find a used one for about the same price, since you have to buy your own horns/tubes kit.

Also: CONGRATS! And google "hand expressing" for tutorials and videos on how to "pump" manually. I've never responded well to a pump, but can hand express if I need a few ounces. Also, if you are on Facebook, look up "Eats on Feets Washington", which connects mamas with extra breastmilk with those in need of some. Perhaps you will find someone locally with a few bags in the freezer to get you through.
