Breastfed baby and BM's

My son ( a twin) will be 3 months old this week. In the last couple of weeks he's gone 3 days without a BM twice and is now on day 5 without one. What is going on? Should I call the doctor? He nurses on average every 2 hours except at night where he will go maybe 4 hours once. Should I be worried?
Thanks!

Totally normal. Breastfed babies can go a week or more without a BM.

My ds, has pooped about once a week since birth... they did an x ray when he was about 2 weeks old and it showed everything was normal. My 2 yr old also did the same thing when he was bout 4 weeks old... started going once a week. Enjoy it while it lasts. If he seems to be in pain, definately go to your Dr.

At around this age babies sphincter muscles start to work and they have to begin pushing the poop out on their own rather than it just coming out. It is not abnormal for them to go several days or even a couple weeks without pooping. Some people just poop less than other people.
