I posted a while back asking for advice about things I could do for a friend who had a 28 week baby, and that thread was very helpful. I'm still doing that stuff, but now, I have another question.
Do you have a book rec that really addresses breastfeeding a premature baby? I skimmed through my Womanly Art and didn't see much. My friend is very much like me in preparing and researching so I was hoping to find something that might help her. She's committed to breastfeeding and before the birth had been asking me for advice. The thing is, I know that I really don't know how to address the challenges of breastfeeding a premature baby.
So far, I've mainly just been trying to help her with natural ways to increase her supply and encouraging her in her efforts to pump. I've baked lactation cookies for her and told her about oatmeal with flaxseed meal.
Help?
