So I'm 23? 24? I can't remember... weeks. I have been helping a friend unpack her house because she is physically disabled and can't do it. Today I hit this brick wall of exhaustion. I can literally barely stand. I can't keep my eyes open very well. I'm confused and spacey, which sucks because I have a toddler to watch in a very messy house.

The internet tells me that it could be iron deficiency. It could be simple exhaustion. Has anyone else gone through this? I'm not yet in the third trimester so it seems weird that I would just be this tired.

I'm so physically exhausted that my throat hurts and I am having (thankfully mild) contractions. Uhm, any ideas beyond just rest? Which I'm doing--my friend took today off work to stay with the toddler.

This has happened to me before, especially after a day of lots of gardening and cleaning. It is probably just exhaustion. Rest and HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE! If you are still exhausted even on less active days then talk to your CP about getting tested for anemia. If you eat meat, have a steak tonight or if not get some dark leafy greens and tempeh for good vegetarian sources of iron.

I'm right there with you girls. The end of the pregnancy is still a while away and I'm exhausted and useless after 3 as well. i go to bed every night by 9 and i have great energy in the am, but that's about it. I thought it was just a 1st and 3rd trimester thing, but when you have other kids, that seems to go out the window. I have just given in to the idea that I'm going to be a tired mama for the next 3 years or so!

I'm there too. On Saturday and Sunday I ended up laying on the couch for a few hours while the boys played and climbed over me. Same thing on Monday too before I went to work. Just woke up this am and am still tired, but I got to take my stepdaughter to school. Maybe I'll try to nap after dropping her off before I have to go into work.

Sorry you are so tired. Im with the rest of you girls. I can't even think straight half the time and when I'm working with numbers I HAVE to think straight but just can't. Its to the point when I am figuring out prices, I could care less if they are right or wrong, which is scary.

Apparently the pills I am on cause exhaustion, plus, I am awake 3-4 times/night for 15-20 mins at a time. I am re-washing all of DD's old clothes so they can be put away, or set aside for the new baby and just standing at the table folding them, or bending over to put them in the dryer is enough to make me want to nap. It makes my muscles sore. I was taking Floradix but kind of forgot to take it for a couple days and now I am constantly forgetting. I need to get back at it but it didn't seem to help when I was taking it regularily.

The tiredness has gotten so bad, especially for the first half of the day from my pill that I drink a regular coffee in the morning with my bp medication (I know, I know not good), just so I can try and get a bit of a high somewhere in the middle of my pill exhaustion.

This is me. What helps: adrenal support, staying hydrated, chlorophyll...at this point, we're increasing blood volume, so that is a big part of it.

I hit the wall last week and had guests all weekend. My kids' play is this week (complete with technical and dress rehearsals) and my prenatal is this week at my house (so I must clean). Just thinking about it makes my tired ache.

i hear you...no 2nd trimester energy surge for me either. i'm completely useless by 3pm. annoyingly, i seem to have a second wind hit around 9pm -- right when i want to go to bed. i was on my feet all day on saturday and was near dead by sunday afternoon. it's insane. glad i'm not alone.

meanwhile, my husband is sleeping like a teenager and THAT is driving me absolutely crazy. he gets SO much sleep, and i'm bitter.

Megan, the same thing is happening to me too!! I put DD to bed at 8 and want to go to bed too, but I catch my second wind and I am up for 2 more hours at least. By then time I get to bed and actually fall asleep its 10:30-11 and then we are up at 6-6:30 AM. Its driving me crazy.

I'm back to wanting naps after going without them for the second tri, but I'm sorry that you're super-duper tired

add me to the list I have been too tired to even post lately, I read but when I think about thinking of something to say and typing I lose the motivation. I had my H&H yesterday (hematocrit and hemoglobin) and they called me to tell me that I am a little low and need to start taking iron pills. I am hoping it will help with the exhaustion because I feel like a blob lately.

Thanks for the commiseration though I'm sorry other people feel this way too. I'm home now and I have been mostly sitting around the house in a daze for days. I'm barely functioning at all. Luckily my husband is super tolerant. Yay for good husbands. I'm so glad I am done with unpacking her house. I felt like it was going to kill me.
