DS2 is 5 mo old, around 22 pounds, and is RFing in a Blvd. I hate it! I have it fully reclined, and it still seems like he isn't sitting right. DS1 is in a marathon, and he is able to recline more. DS2 seems like he is sitting straight up, and he seems so uncomfortable. Plus, even with only two seats in the back of my Pontiac Torrent(like a Chevy Equinox) there is no room in the back for even a super skinny person. I'm considering getting a Radian 65 for DS2,but I'm wondering if I'll get enough extra room. DS1 doesn't like the Blvd either, or I would just switch them. Any thoughts?

I don't know about the getting more room thing with a Radian - certainly there will be more room, but I don't know if it will be enough for another adult to sit in that space.

I do know that lots of parents complain about the BLVD (I was one of them), because the headwings pillow thing seems to push the child's head forward too much. My kids were never comfy in the BLVD - they looked like they couldn't relax (kind of how we'd feel if our headrests were pushing out too far - we wouldn't be able to relax our head on our necks!

That said, some people love them and don't have that problem.

I have a BV and a Radian. I have a love/hate relationship with them. I really prefer the BV for RFing because I can get it more upright than a Radian, which DS preferred. He did like RFing in the Radian because of the extra leg room, but he didn't like the recline of it. So it sounds like it may work out okay for you.

I have DD in a Regent, but my vehicle is wide so I can fit in between any of the seats I set up. There is definitely an extra few inches when you switch out the BV for the Radian.
