I just turned mine forward, and have it in the center using the lap/shoulder belt. When I put the belt through the lock-off and turn it all the way it only grabs about a half inch of the belt- which seems to do the job. Is this ok> Also, it doesn't "click" like they say it should, but I know it is turned all the way.

Help!

At that age I would much much much rather see a RF seat.

When you pull the belt through the lockoff, can you flatten it out and get it into the lockoff fully? I'm not familiar with the new lockoff style, as our Britax is RF and has the old FF lockoffs. I've heard, though, that loads of people are dissatisfied with the new style.

It is hard to explain, but the lock off only touches a small part of the belt. There is no room for the belt to go over any further.

She is a miserable child rearfacing, and her screaming makes me crazy- not a good combo while driving

I just watched the installation video on britax.com and it looked like she folded the belt into the lockoff. Ugh why does this have to be so confusing.

This is what the lockoff looks like closed.
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...arseats005.jpg
Now if you open it (push up the lever) the belt will slide right in there and then you close it again. You don't want to pull too tight b/c it needs some give or it will damage the seatbelts. Do you have your seat in the upright position now that it's ffing?
