Yes another car seat question....

I am buying a Britax Regent for older, so babe can move into the marathon. What do you think about the onyx color? Saraha is all back ordered, and I am wondering if I will be able to wait for it. Does the onyx get very hot in the sun, or is it all the same, becuase all car seats get hot?

Thanks!

Never thought of the heat really. We don't have any problems of that sort. It's very cushy and comfortable, that's for sure

I have a marathon in that fabric, and it isn't any hotter than the tan roundabout we have in 2nd car. I was worried about it, too, but it's ok--like you said, not hotter than any other carseat.

We have the Decathlon in onyx and when it's 110 degrees here in the summer, at a certain point, hot is just hot! We have always gotten really dark tint on the rear windows of our cars, though, so DS won't have the sun glaring into his eyes. I would imagine that it would be fine. If it does end up being hot, you can get one of those car seat liners that you put in the freezer before use.

We have the onyx, and it gets warm, but so does every other surface in the car. I don't think it would be worse than other fabrics. My complaint is that the fabric bleeds when wet, and will stain dd's clothing. A couple of wet diapers wicking onto her clothes have left her cute outfits with onyx print stain.:
So, definitely remove and wash the cover before you install it in your car!
