Anyone know when I should start brushing my son's teeth? He's 11 months old. I got some "Spry" gel that you rub on the teeth/gums with a cotton swab, but I have to admit that I'm not that dilligent about doing it daily, let alone after every meal. I'm wondering because we co-sleep and the little bugger's got some kickin breath at night! Is it really important to start doing it?

thanks

I started as soon as my son's first tooth appeared. I got a finger tooth brush and wiped his teeth clean daily with it. I'm so glad I started early because now at 19 months, he lets me brush and floss his teeth without any troubles. The opposite was true with my daughter, who I didn't start early enough with and she refused to let me brush her teeth when she got to toddlerhood.

you should brush their teeth once they have teeth. I had a finger brush for LO until recently I just bought a normal kid brush with a small soft head and brush his teeth with training paste when he gets up in the morning and before bed at night.
