So much for a relaxing Mom's Day dinner out at our favorite pizza place <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> My poor little guy <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> He stuck his hand in a piping hot pizza, and has blisters on four fingers.<br><br>
Ped said to put antibiotic cream on and give ibuprofen. Hard to bandage since he's 8 months old...<br><br>
Just put in a second call to the ped because I now realize that more than one of his fingers is affected -- four are blistered and the worst one looks a bit white/waxy, which I read can be third degree. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"><br><br>
Maybe we'll be off for the hospital after all?<br><br>
Any similar burn experiences?

No advice, but I had to send you and your little guy <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/hug2.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Hug2">. Hope he's okay!

DS1 put his hand on the hot element once.<br><br>
Pretty sure we didn't do anything. Doc said not to bandage it or anything. It did blister but healed nicely. I don't remember if any of them looked waxy......<br><br>
You could try aloe vera gel, but honestly, if you're concerned about infection I would take him back to the doctor. I personally wouldn't take him to the hospital but then I'm not there and don't know what it's like so it's really a judgement call on your part. I probably wouldn't rush to the ER or anything.
