My ds (20.5 months) is super into caterpillars and butterflies right now and i want to make him some wings. I am probably going to go the bent hanger, pantyhose route, but i am looking for some suggestions....

I was thinking silk wings maybe, although I think they need a frame, that he's too young to be able to enjoy them if they are just like flat silks with wrist bands (I also think he'll hate the wrist bands).

I don't have any advice on the style, but I remember that Threadbanger (a DIY sewing video blog) had a show on how to make wings last Halloween times. I'm sure that you could download the instructions on how to make them. It seemed super easy! HTH
