<p>I'm in. Well, except for the local, organic, grass-fed beef ranch near me is having a black Friday sale. But I'm not buying anything I can't eat!</p>

<p>I generally refuse to leave the house on Black Friday.  My boys and I pull out the Christmas decorations, simmer a nice pot of soup all day long, and listen to Christmas music while we decorate. Far better memories to make than sitting in line at the mall!</p>

<p>We tend to get food out and go look at the German Market and decorations.  We used to watch the Chicago XMAS tree lighting but they do that on Wed afternoon now so they don't have to pay overtime. but no real shopping</p>

<p>I'm participating in buy nothing day, but not by choice DH is working so I need to be home with the kiddo! </p>
<p>I went last year and actually had a lot of fun. I didn't buy much at all- mostly just took in the sights- I was completely amazed with how many people were out waiting for stores to open or unwrap the big deals.  </p>

<p>I have never done Black Friday.  This year I was planning on doing it as we bought a new house and need a ton of stuff but after I saw that many places have now extended it to Thursday, I can't knowingly participate in it.</p>

That's what we do as well.  This year we may have some friends coming over to help put up the trees (I think DH has finally balked at setting them up alone) so we might make eggnog and have a mini party.</p>

<p>DS and I will decorate his tree together.  I'll do the others alone.  DH hates decorating trees.  His mother ruined that for him as a child.  </p>

<p>I'm making turkey stock out of the carcass and cleaning up from last night. I've already determined that if it's not something tucked away in the basement from past bargain shopping, nobody's getting it this year. Budget is just too tight.</p>
