curious about whether or not schools will not allow kids who haven't been vaxed to go to school (public)...my mom mentioned it when i said i didn't plan on vaxing ds...where does one look to find that kind of info?

This post will get you started. Exemptions are currently very easy in California. I believe they are on the back of the form asking for vax info, you just flip it over and sign it. Part of enrolling your kid in school.<br><br>
It is a lot of years since I had a daughter in school out in Los Angeles...27...or so.

the schools like to say that the vaccinations are mandatory...but such is not the case...you can sign the waiver, and they will let you in school...they may say that if there is an outbreak of something then your child cannot go to school, but i do not know what is considered an outbreak...in the years that i have had children in ps (i hs most of my kids now), i have not had an issue with not vaccinating them...<br><br>

I went to public and private schools in CA and I have never been vaxed and neither have my four children who attended public, private and homeschools in CA.<br><br>
Do not believe the nonsense that the doctors and the schools hand you. Read the law and take a copy of the law with you when you register your DC in school.<br><br>
However, I am going to suggest as a mother in and resident of CA that you homeschool your DC as CA schools are not very good, but that is another thread.
