<p>Please help me... I need some verification... It's late and I'm not thinking straight... up around the clock, etc....</p>

<p>Which sentence is correct?</p>
<p>1. Due to a printing error in the last newsletter, the last row of names from the crew picture was omitted.</p>
<p>OR</p>
<p>2. Due to a printing error in the last newsletter, the last row of names from the crew picture were omitted.</p>

<p>Isn't it the first one because *row* is singular.?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I'm almost positive, but need to double check.</p>

<p>was omitted. Take out the "of names from the crew picture" clause and you'll see the verb has to agree with "row".</p>

<p>I thought so.... Up at night w/dd, doing a million things w/holidays coming up, etc.... Can hardly keep my eyes open, but have to get this newsletter out by tomorrow.</p>
