Hi! I'm having a big problem with my wonderful (up until 2 weeks ago) Kenmore HE3t front-loading washing machine. I was my diapers every other day---and just recently the washer has been making a HUGE racket. They've been out to *look* at it 3 times, and yesterday, replaced the pump. Anyway, today, I was told by the senior technician I need another (!) pump. I told him---as long as I can wash diapers tomorrow, do whatever it takes. He then asked me if I was enjoying the sanitizing feature
Anyway, I was wondering if there were any others who had experienced HE3t trauma--and how you resolved it. I really want to feel that warm, squishy, happy feeling again when I wash my diapers instead of the nails-on-chalkboard feeling having to listen to the squeal of the supposed-to-be silent machine!!!

All the best,

Amy
(so thankful were still under warranty--barely!!)

No mechanical traumas like that though see my post from a little while ago about stiff dipes. I've only had mine a week though. A friend got one just before I did and they had to replace hers as the door kept jamming (she actually broke the door latch
) and it wouldn't do anything except a cold wash. Luckily she doesn't have one in dipes (and won't consider cloth anyway
).

no major trauma, but we did have wipes stuck in the drain part and for 4 days were w/o a washer. the tech said it happens a lot. so now wipes go in a laundry bag. thats about it.............. otherwise all quiet on the homefront

I've had mine for a week and haven't had any troubles. Sorry to hear about your mishaps. I purchased the extended warrantee when we bought the machine because I figured this thing was far to complicated to work without any problems for its life!

It seems kinda crazy that you'd need 2 pumps replaced in such a short period of time. Are they really HE3t technicians from Kenmore or are they generic washer repair guys? (Would that make a difference.)

You might call Kenmore (and/or the company from which you bought it) customer service and explain your frustration with the repair difficulties - ask them at what point will they replace the ENTIRE machine.

Good Luck!

These are Sears technicians---the last one said, "Remember, we have a money-back, 100% satisfaction guarantee." I'm wondering if that was a hint that I'm going to need to push for a whole new machine?? I have washer and dryer stacked, so I'm sure they'll pitch a fit to replace it. I cannot go on much longer with all this racket--and I'm not about to stop using CDs.

Thanks for the input!

I would start pushing for replacement now. I went through some problems with a Kenmore serger, and I am now on my third. Two of them had to be replaced, and this one doesn't work great.

It was a complete pain, and I actually had to send my father to Sears to finally get a new machine for me, because I was 18 years old, and they just basically pulled the "there there, don't worry your pretty little head" routine on me every time I went in there to complain, because my serger has been in for repair a total of 31 weeks out of a year. One time they took just over 3 months to replace a blade.

get it replaced. Do whatever is necessary. If it's burning through pumps like this, there is obviously a problem.
