Some of us, doulas talked about meeting to discuss a sort of child care co-op and doula life in general. There are a few people new to the area who need to do some networking, too. So, please bring business cards, ideas and resources.

We can meet either at Herndon Park in Durham or at my house (both are near Southpoint Mall). I would say that it's okay for kids to come to the park but my house may not be the best for lots of kids these days. (My dog is just getting over surgery today. And, I am in mini-nesting mode, already, IYKWIM.)

Next weekend on Sat or Sunday work for me. I won't have another free weekend for a couple of months, i would guess. Can you all please vote and RSVP here this week? Thanks!

I'm moving next weekend. But I'll be at the DONA postpartum workshop

maybe we should just postpone this for a couple of months? i think my nesting got in the way of making it kid friendly, which made some people less hesitant to come...of course. i mean, i totally understand needing/wanting to bring the babes. and, you all know my house is usually a weekly playdate space.

so, if people are not super interested in this weekend, then let's just plan something for late march or early april. thoughts?

I think it should wait til you're all doped up on prolactin and hardly notice the veggie booty all over the floor.

You've got a lot going on and I think it makes sense to wait.

There, that's my 2 cents.

Please PM me your e-mail addy if you would like to be invited to the Yahoo group for the NC Doula Co-op. Even though all of us cannot meet until this spring, we can share resources and ideas online first! Thanks!
