Howdy all. I know I have been gone from the forums for seemingly forever. But, now I'm back (from outer space...lol) and I just need somewhere to vent my sadness for a moment.

My current living situation would take forever to explain, so later maybe, but the nutshell is that me and my fiance are living in an old motorhome on his parents property. Divorce (mine), financial hardship and chronic illness/disability blah blah. My kids have rented an apartment nearby and my son is working so so hard! My Dd is looking to college soon. I am proud. The last two years have been an ordeal to say the least. (We lost the house in divorce etc)

So I had some money saved up for Solstice stuff. Mostly for the kids and charity. It disappeared! GONE. Paypal drama I didnt see coming. I am so sad. It's over now, but uggggghhh. We are simple living, handmade kind of people so it wasnt a lot of money. $80 to be exact. But it was enough to share, and give some happy this winter to my kids and others. I am bummed. Dd wanted some knitting stuff, and a gift card for a retro jacket. Ds was going to get a snarky t-shirt gift card. My partner was going to get a harmonica- he always wanted one. The shelter is near us and I usually donate. Can't.

We have really no income right now. We have both applied for disability and are playing the waiting game. It would take me months to save that again. I just needed a place to talk about it where people would "get it". Thanks.

HUGE hugs. It's so hard when disappointments like that hit, especially around the holidays.

I hate when financial worries are even more intense in December. For some reason, it seems to be a popular time for things to fall apart.

I hope you get some unexpected financial joy before Christmas.

I'm sorry things are so rough right now (though, it sounds like you also have a lot to be grateful for). I hope 2011 is a fabulous year for you.
