So, I don't have a printer. It has occured to me that I'd really like to have some paper handouts 'just in case' and maybe even leave them in places like the laundromat, etc. Would anyone like to print me 1 copy each (I'm happy to go to Staples and make myself multiple copies) of the major nocirc pamphlets, the sheets for the 3x5 cards (can't remember where they come from, though) and anything else you think would be useful. If anyone wants to do this for me, respond and I'll pm you. I'd prefer one of the long-term well known posters, no offense to new folks with honorable intentions.

Just a suggestion - you might be better off going to Kinko's, and having them print off the pamphlets and making your copies. First, their prices will probably be cheaper than Staples (don't know for sure). Second, you can get them to print the brochures double-sided correctly so that they'll copy correctly.

I have had a problem with my home computer/printer getting the pamphlets to print correctly so that they are double-sided and fold correctly into the tri-fold format that so many of the anti-circ pamphlets are in. I found it easier and cheaper to have Kinko's do it for me when I needed to print a bunch.

Good links for the pamphlets: www.nocirc.org and http://www.coloradonocirc.org/pamphlets.php

In fact, if you are going to print only one pamphlet (which if you do a lot of the same one may be cheaper than printing smaller quantities of many different pamphlets) the top pamphlet at Colorado Nocirc would be my vote. It covers all the major issues including intact care and is well-written.

We don't have a Kinkos. There's Staples not too far away, and an Office Max about a 15-20 minute drive. Afaik neither of them will print from the internet. Copies in the self-serve at Staples are 6c each single sided and 9c each double sided. I don't know if there's any bulk discount (I've done anywhere from 1 to 100 copies), but those are good enough prices for me.

I don't think the library would be very happy about me printing off pictures of penises there. Very puritanical area.

I am expecting some stuff in the mail from an MDC mama soon, so I should be all set.

When I was interested in having NOCIRC pamphlets, I contacted our Michigan NOCIRC. For a donation they were happy to send me boxes of pamphlets to hand out.

I, too contacted NOCIRC of Michigan and got their wonderful package. I found it so effective, I sent one to an old childhood friend who was expecting a baby.
