I feel like I'm not sure where to post, because I homeschool some, but my DD#1 is also in PS. We have a fantastic PS, but I have never sent my kids to preschool, and I do daycare in my home, so I definately homeschool a lot too. This summer I picked up the SummerBridge workbooks for the girls, and set up a desk area for each of them in my office. They have had a blast with working on art projects and writing. I am also a huuuge Rainbow Resource freak. I ordered my cataolg last Thursday, and am holding my breath waiting for it! (We have moved, so I think they were sending the catalog to the old address)

So anyway, I hope it's ok if I post here. I know my kids attend school outside the home, but even during the school year, we do a lot of homeschooling things here too, so I'm always on the look out for homeschooling resources.

There are always ways to incorporate education at home. That's great that you are finding a good balance for your girls. Take care!

I would think you would be more than welcome here. My experience is that homeschoolers are very open minded about education. Do what your kids need you to do. Homeschooling looks different for every family. Some families homeschool some of their kids, but not all of them. There aren't any hard and fast rules.

Welcome

I would say most (if not all) of us homeschool because we want to do what is best for OUR kids....understanding that what works for one, doesn't necessarily work for another....thus the myriad of forms that homeschooling takes.

So, of COURSE you are welcome.

Robyn

You're welcome to join us. I'd want to caution you to watch your kids' cues and make sure you aren't overdoing it with the educational stuff. School takes up a lot of their time when you do outside schooling, so I'd imagine they need all the free time they can get.
