we'll be travelling to CA for three weeks and I want to use cloth there. We use FB's full time. I don't think we'll have a place to hang them dry as we're staying in a friend's house (roommates, etc) and we don't want to take over the place with our dipes!

So, can I machine dry the FBs on low for these few weeks? (I usually wash 3x a week)

The instructions on the tag say to dry on low.

So I am sure they will be fine.

I have been machine-drying my FB on low for six months now and they seem none the worse for it.

I machine dry my fb with the rest of my diapers

: most of the time and they are just fine.

Are we talking about Fuzzibunz? If so I've dried mine on hot hightheat many many many (like a lot) and they still work as well as when I got them, you should be fine.

I'm not real sure if drying them is what did it, but some of mine got sticky on the inside side of the PUL, my newer ones that I always line dry (well actually I've been drying them flat on my car in the garage because its been raining here for a month straight!) are not sticky at all. But I'm sure three weeks wont hurt them!

Yep, just dry on delicate, and you shouldn't have issues with them - I dry my PUL covers on low when the humidity is too high to hang dry, and they have withstood the test of time.

FWIW, I dry my FB's on hot (unless everything's on the clothesline) - not a single problem in over a year
