I am organizationally challenged and i'm having a hard time figuring out how to set up my diaper "station". I have two in diapers right now and we just moved so now we have an upstairs (where our foster daughter 6 wks sleeps) and downstairs is where noah's room is. I dont have one place where I always change...I usually grab my diapers from the stack of perpetual clothes on my couch
BUT...I want to be organized..I want ONE main diaper changing area that has everything nicely organized....so I was hoping to see pics of your set up...
Thanks mamas!

I, too, have an upstairs set up, which is a pain. My dd just gets morning, nap, and bedtime changes ther. She has a built in vanity so it's a great set up, if only it was downstairs! I have diapers stashed everywhere, car, dipe bag, and always in the dryer, but here is our play room setiup and so far it's been pretty functional and neat. My laundry room/closet is in the play room so I tend to get the dipes in the baskets rather than on the couch!

Our changing table is in our living room. This is where we spend all of our time, so I'm able to change Luke and still see what's going on w/ the other kids! :LOL The diaper pail is down the hall in our room, so that's where they go after I've changed him. I didn't want the pail in the middle of the living room, too, might freak out the company! :LOL

Our Set-Up

Misc. diaper stuff This stuff is now in the top drawer or on the top of the changing table next to the wipes warmer. We've moved and I didn't have a place to put up the shelf.

Top Drawer

Middle Drawer

I need to take pics again...I think my stash has changed so much taht none of the dipes in the pics I even have anymore! :LOL

Mine is in my siggy. I finally decided to use a large bookcase b/c we have so many different kinds of dipes that I was going crazy trying to keep them sorted in baskets on the floor (especially when my ds was helping me sort them by dumping out each basket in turn). So now it's all organized & categorized (can you tell I'm a little anal?) and strategically located next to the changing table. BTW, the wipes, wipe solution, diaper cream, etc. etc. are all in the drawer of the changing table, which can't be seen in the pic.

Oh I love it! Thanks...i'm getting some great ideas....I dont have a changing table so right now i'm kinda using a dresser to store them but it's too hard to get to them because it's in the boys' room and there's usually toys blocking my path....hmmm..maybe I should post a thread on organizing toys on the simple living board :LOL

I finally found a storage system that works for us. Everything has it's place and it helps so that DH can find what he needs when he needs it. He does all the diaper changes when he's not working so I wanted to make it simple.

Here are photos: Diaper Storage

All AIOs are in the changing table drawers and side shelves.
All pockets are prestuffed and have their own drawer.
All nighttime diapers have their own drawer (no photo as they're all in the wash or on their way to me!)
All fitteds and fitted/cover sets have their own drawer
Wool is stacked on a shelf above the changing table, sorted according to type (side snapping in one pile, soakers in another, then shorts, and then longies). We rotate them to the bottom as they're used so no thinking required, just grab the next one on the top of the stack. Same with all the other dipes, I rotate the newly washed ones to the bottom so that no one dipe gets used more. Yeah I'm anal about that.

Our diaper setup. I like it being a dresser because as ds gets older (longer) he's not falling off one end or the other of it. His clothes are in the dresser, diapers up above. So he can't pull down the diapers to roll around in on the floor.

As for your toy problem... Take a look at this and this. We've got bookshelves with baskets to put stuff in and then a giant wicker basket to throw the living room toys in.

I took this yesterday, but am just putting it up...

I have mine in the bathroom, which is awesome. I have two baskets on the first shelf... one for fb and inserts and onr for prefolds and fitteds. I hang my soakers on the shutters to air out. I keep a small pail next to the table b/c I don't like dirty dipes to sit too long. Neat and simple.
