I'm planning on putting 4-5 chickens in here
http://images.lowes.com/product/conv...13052086md.jpg

I assembled it the other day, and added some ventilation around the edges and put hardware cloth in the windows instead of the plexiglass that came with it. I can sit upright inside the doghosue, and my cat slept in there the otherday. It has rained since I assembled it and it seems dry except where a little comes in the door - I intend to add a door and close it at night, so should solve that problem. I'm going to build them a partially covered and portable run. I'm also adding 8" wheels to the doghouse legs so that I can move it without DH's help. It's not really heavy, just big. Also the walls are insulated with styrofoam inside of 2 pieces of wood, and 1 half of the roof opens up on hinges.

Will get pictures going as soon as it stops raining! grrr
I've still got to add roosts and finish the interior.

The roosts and nest box are almost finished. Basically I intend for them to roost/sleep only in here. It's not roomy-enough for a cold climate where they would have to winter inside. The top that is not in the pix is removable (obviously, hehe) and half of it opens on hinges which is how I will get the eggs out every day.
