i got a girasol on a fsot forum to use with our second baby (due aug.) with my first, i used a pouch, but she didn't like it until we could do the hip carry. this time around i think the wrap is the way to go, but i'm not sure if this one will work. it's about 139" (which i believe is roughly 3.5 meters). i know it's not long enough for a front cross carry, but i think i've seen a shortened version of the fcc that doesn't cross in the back. any suggestions for newborn carries with a wrap of this length?<br><br>
or, maybe i should just try to resell it and get something longer. it's also sort of heavy and i'm thinking it's going to be hot. maybe an ellaroo or something lighter would be better?

you can do a kangaroo carry, and the short cross carry is probably the other you were thinking of, that's also a great ruck length <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> hope that helps, I love this length

3.5 is a perfect rucksack length for me.
