My LP is extremely short (5 days first cycle, 3 days last cycle). I am 3dpo and I just bought some natural progesterone cream. Can somebody give me the quick and dirty on it?

The kind I bought is 500 mg/oz.

What I'm wondering is:

-how much (the bottle says 1/4 tsp twice a day, but is that enough?),and
-where to apply it.

Thanks mamas!

I use about 1 tsp twice a day, and it was enough to help me get pg (my previous cycle had been only a 5 day LP too) although now that I am, my midwife has me on prog suppositories in addition to the cream. You should rotate where you apply it, it can go anywhere on the soft skin (inner arms, inner thighs, stomach, chest, bottom). Good luck!

I have used natural prog cream for a long time now...
I use Organic Excellence Natural Progesterone Cream. It is the best I have used thus far (and I have used several brands).

I had to work a bit on which days worked best for me...for a while I was using it CD 12-26...then I started using it the day after I ovulated. This allowed me to have a longer LP and to menstrate regularly.

Everyone is different. I use it am & pm and I make sure to switch the spots I apply it on between 4-5 areas....I just rotate the areas I use it.

HTH

and if you have anymore questions....I would be glad to help!!!

I would recommend testing to determine your progesterone level and then work with a compounding pharmacist on progesterone supplementation if it's low. Your luteal phase is very short. If this is caused by a very low progesterone level, you will need prescription strength to bring it within the normal range. (As an ex, my SIL required 2000 mg daily to get her progesterone in the very low normal range and her luteal phase was always approx 14 days. She found a dr and pharmacist willing to work with her and use natural progesterone, not synthetic progestins. Feel free to email me if you need info on how to find a practitioner in your area who works with natural hormones.)
