We were flying kites today with some success and I thought it would be fun to go somewhere along the coast and fly them next week since it's spring break. I live near Albany, NY and I have no clue where to go. TY!

Yes, Brenton Point State Park in Newport is hugely popular with kite fliers. It's quite a spectacle out there on a sunny day! It is directly on the water, so it can be really windy and chilly at this time of year, but is worth the fun if you dress appropriately.

Colt State Park in Bristol, RI is also quite popular with kite flyers. I used to fly stunt kites down there all the time! :)

Hammonassett State Park in CT would be closer for you. A lot of people fly kites there. Why don't you drive to Lake George and fly them on Million Dollar Beach? That's even closer!

I agree. Awesome kite-flying there.
