Come on, this is supposed to be a crunchy part of the country, where's our cloth diaper party?? I am happy to volunteer my house in Sacramento, but if there's a more central location, I'm willing to drive too. Anyone? Bueller?

I'm in San Ramon ( East Bay Area). I would love to be a part of a CD party!

Sarah
I'm in Silicon Valley! My house is too small to host a significant number of people (and too messy
), but I'd be interested if this happens.

Hey, great! Where do you guys want to have it? It seems like most moms are in the bay area. Maybe someone there would volunteer their house? If not, would you guys want to drive to Sac? Or is it too far?
I will volunteer my house, I am in San Ramon. Please PM me if you are interested!

Sarah
I could come to Sac. I'm just above Auburn.
But I was wondering, will ya hyenas let me in the door with my DD in a CPF and a bumkin? :LOL
CPF babies welcome! Babies (and moms!) from SF welcome!

Should we pick a date? Sarah, can you really host it?

Yup Yup, I will host it! Let's pick a date. Please respond here letting us know which of these dates works best for you. If it makes no difference, say that too.

Wed Oct 22
Fri Oct 24
Mon Oct 27
Tues Oct 28

Please also list the ages of your children that will be coming with you, and just for fun, what type of dipes you use/will be bringing!

Also, tell us a little about your self so we can get to know eachother!

Any of the above dates work for me.

I have one daughter, Abigail, who is 9 months old. I (she!) uses mostly pocket dipes. We have Ellas Dipes, Apron String Baby Things dipes, and Fuzzi Bunz. We stuff with hemparoos and the Ellas pocket stuffers. We also have 2 covers and prefolds to use in a pinch around the house.

I have no idea how to fold a prefold, so it would be great if one of you PF moms could show me!

A little about me:

I am about as un-crunchy as one could get
I love my SUV and my chocolate! I started coming to this board because of the fabulous CD board and have learned so much. Honestly, sometimes I feel a little like a fish out of water here because while we practice some AP things, I am not really sure if I am a real AP mom. We don't believe in CIO, won't be spanking, use a sling as well as a stroller, and CD. I was unable to breast feed Abby due to some serious medical issues she had, and after 2 months of pumping for her, she is a formula fed baby. Please don't gasp when you see my bottle rack or formula cans in the kitchen. I really enjoy getting together with other moms and Abby loves interacting with other kids! I think it will be great fun to meet eachother, and talk all about CD. I can honestly say none of my friends would ever sit and chat with me about what their baby poops in

So tell us all about you so we can look forward to getting to know eachother better!

All the dates are fine with me, although I'd prefer not to have it on Oct. 22 because I have a book club meeting that night and don't want to be going all day. But if that date works best for everyone else, I won't miss diaper party
.

I'm D'Anne, and my son Jackson is 6 months old (will be almost 7 at diaper party). We use mostly CPFs and alternate with a few AIOs (Honeyboys) and pocket dipes (HH's and FB's at night). Most of my covers are PUL, but I have a few fleece and wool covers that I'm just starting to appreciate. Not too many fitteds, but I do have a couple of SOSs that I *adore* the fit of.

Sarah, I'd be glad to show you how to PF! I love my CPFs.

I was an RN in my pre-mom life (and hope to go back to it one day). Like Sarah, I'm pretty mainstream with a few crunchy habits thrown in for flavor
.

Hey, what do you all think about a diaper swap? Bringing the things that you don't use very much to possibly trade?

The best days for me are Wed Oct. 22 or Mon Oct. 27th. These days I can have either DH or my mom take 3 year old DS because I don't think he can handle the car for that long!
I would be bringing 9 month old Julia, who would love to meet other big bootied babies! We use mainly AIOs, I have Chumbas, Dreamboats, some HH's, lots of Fuz, and assorted other things. Don't worry you guys, I'm not super crunchy either.
I'm a younger mom, though, I just turned 23. And Sarah, we supplement DD with formula so we have bottles and formula cans in our kitchen too! I only know a couple people who CD IRL, and they're not into it, so it'd be great to meet some hardcore CDing mamas like myself. :LOL

I'd prefer Mon Oct 27 or Tues Oct 28, the other days we have playgroup and park day. What time of day are we talking anyway? Earlier works a bit better for us, because DS naps in the afternoon.

I'm Abigail, my son, Niels, is 15 months old. I use mostly Mother-Ease OS diapers with wool covers. I have a couple of Fireflys, one Sugarpeas, and a Fuz WIO set, as well as two Fuzbomb covers and a Fuz Easy. I also have a very pretty Freshies fittwrap. I'd also like PF tips, because I have some PFs, but I'm not very good with them. I do the bikini twist when we're coverless at home, but that's about it.

This'll be fun.

Muggins&Doody...

I'm 24. It will be fun to meet another younger mom! Most of my friends don't have kids. I was the first in our "group" to get marriend 3 years ago, and pretty much the only one who has a child.

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Sarah
What is a diaper party exactly? I'm in Fremont and and want to come. Do we just bring our diapers to show off? I would need to schedual a U-Haul truck rental for that day :LOL

I am a 26 year old single mother to my 10 month old son Brandon. I too am uncrunchy for the most part and had to formula feed after three months of pumping.Once I got pregnant and had Brandon I lost touch with most of my friends because it's a whole different world being a mother and we had nothing in commen anymore. I would love to meet up with some cloth diapering mama's. And the fact that I won't even have to feel awkward about bottle feeding is even better.
Hi Jamie,

I am getting more and more excited with each post! We would love to have you join us!!! Yup, just bring your dipaers (and your babe of course
) and we will get to know eachother, let the babies play, eat good food, and talk cloth!
